Text Box: GUARD Guys Understanding Authority and Real Discipleship This is a non-competitive event… one competes only with self. Purpose: To foster a spirit of cooperation and fellowship among Christian teen boys, and to develop a spiritual relationship and dependence on one another for strength to overcome temptation and serve faithfully. To grow in the ability to lead and participate in Bible classes and worship services. Participation: Open to Lads in grades 6-12. GUARD is not recommended for boys younger than sixth grade. Awards: GUARD I, II and III awards are given at convention according to the participants meeting the individual requirements as set forth in the rules book.
