ART SAYS IT
Purpose: To offer students an opportunity to use their talents, skills, and the tools of drawing, painting, and other art media to communicate a biblical message.
Participation: Open to all students grades K-12. Students in K-2nd grade and Bartimaeus participants may submit artwork for display only in the Art Says It Non-Competitive event. Participants do not have to attend convention. There are four categories: Painting, Drawing/Sketching, Photography, Posters and Bulletin Boards. The artwork should reflect the annual convention theme. Students in grades 3-12 may register Sculpture or Collage entries for display only in the Art Says It Non-Competitive event. NEW CATEGORY Bulletin Boards have been added as a category of Art Says It. There are two sub-categories—Informative/Decorative and Teaching. This category ONLY is pre-convention. Before and after pictures are to be taken of the board to show what it looked like before the student started working on it and how it looks after it is complete. These photos are to be emailed by the registration deadline to bulletinboard@lads-to-leaders.org. Further details can be found in our rules book (link above).
Awards: Awards are given to first, second and third place winners in each grade division of each category. Finalist ribbons will also be awarded when there are more than 24 entries in a grade division of a category. |
