MUSIC COMPOSITION

 

Purpose: To encourage those talented in music composition to develop and use their talents for God. While some may be talented in leading songs, others may have the ability to write a poem or lyrics that could become a song.

 

Participation: Open to students in grades 3-12.  Original pieces are judged in the categories of lyrics, melody and harmony.

 

Awards: Awards are given to first, second and third place winners in each grade division of each category.
