Official Event & Contest Rules

The
Official Convention Rules Book has been updated to include all of the changes
and additions that will be in effect for the 2008 convention. Please discard
any previous versions of rules books. Listed below are the events that have had
changes made to them. Please review these sections carefully as you plan for
the 2008 convention. Because we are not printing large quantities of rules
books, we will update
it for each
convention year. Please
click here for the free download of the rules book in PDF
format. If you do not have the latest
version of the free Adobe Reader software, the rules book will NOT download
properly. Click the link at the bottom of this page and follow the instructions
to update your Adobe Reader software. Please note that the rules book file is
large and may take a few minutes to download to your computer. You can then
save it and print it as needed. Please feel free to share it with everyone in
your congregation that needs it.
The events listed
below have changes made to the rules, entry forms and/or evaluation forms. Some
changes are minor, some are more in depth. Most changes are to clarify existing
rules. Please review the rules for all events, not just those with changes,
carefully as you plan for the 2008 convention.

pictures of a completed puppet stage.
If you are not familiar with PDF files or the Adobe Acrobat
Reader, continue reading below to learn more or to download and install the free
Acrobat Reader.

Why we use the Portable Document Format
The Portable Document Format provides consistent viewing and
printing quality across numerous computer platforms and web browsers.
This is the best way to ensure that you can view and print our
documents with the same layout and quality as the originals.
PDF files typically have the .pdf extension in their file name
(i.e. rulebook.pdf).
How to get the free Acrobat Reader
The free Adobe Acrobat Reader allows you to view, navigate,
and print Portable Document Format (.pdf) files. If you don't
have this program, or if your Acrobat Reader version is prior
to Acrobat Reader 3, you must download and run the installer
to view these flyers.
This installer will install the Acrobat Reader program as
well as plug-ins for Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet
Explorer, allowing it to operate as a stand-alone program or
viewer within your web browser.
To get your free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here or on the button below. After downloading
the installer, you will need to quit your web browser, run the
installer, launch your web browser, and return to our website.
We recommend you bookmark our website now to make returning easier.
